MegaIPTV ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Service at megaiptv.ca, how we use it, and the rights you hold over it.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us directly
- Account information — your name, email address and phone number.
- Order information — the plan you selected and the device type you told us about.
- Payment information — billing details handled by our payment provider. We never see or store a full card number.
- Support communications — the messages you send us on WhatsApp or to [email protected].
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, session duration and subscription status.
- Device information — device type, operating system and IBO Player version.
- IP address — used for region detection, fraud prevention and delivering the correct stream routes.
- Cookies — session cookies for functionality and analytics cookies for service improvement (see section 6).
1.3 What we do not collect
We do not collect government identification numbers, biometric data, health data, or financial account details beyond what the payment processor requires to complete a transaction.
2. How we use your information
- Delivering the Service — creating your line, authorising your device and routing your streams.
- Processing payments — completing transactions and issuing receipts.
- Customer support — answering questions, repairing playlists and resolving billing disputes.
- Improving the Service — analysing aggregate usage to plan capacity and refine the channel line-up.
- Service communications — order confirmations, activation details and expiry reminders. We do not send unsolicited marketing email.
- Fraud prevention — detecting credential sharing and concurrent-use abuse.
- Legal compliance — responding to lawful requests from Canadian authorities.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We never have.
3. Legal basis for processing
- Contract performance — processing needed to deliver the subscription you bought.
- Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, platform security and aggregate analytics.
- Legal obligation — compliance with applicable law in Canada.
- Consent — where we explicitly ask for it, such as optional communications.
4. Data sharing
We share personal data only with:
- Payment processors, to complete transactions securely under their own privacy policies.
- Infrastructure providers (hosting and CDN), acting on our behalf under data processing agreements.
- Legal authorities, where required by law or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of MegaIPTV and its users.
Every third-party processor is contractually required to maintain appropriate security measures and is prohibited from using your data for its own marketing.

Once a retention period ends, the data is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
6. Cookies
- Essential cookies — required for site functionality and form handling. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors move through megaiptv.ca. You can opt out through your browser settings.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural tracking.
7. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you may:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your data, subject to the retention periods we are legally required to observe.
- Restrict or object to particular processing activities.
- Port your data — receive it in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on it.

8. Data security
- TLS/SSL encryption on all data in transit
- Encrypted storage for account information
- Role-based access controls limiting who can view personal data
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant Canadian authorities as the law requires.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
10. International transfers
Your data is processed in secure data centres. Where data is transferred outside Canada — for example to a United States edge node — appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses are in place.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version always sits at megaiptv.ca/privacy.html with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes are announced on WhatsApp or a prominent site notice.
